Annual Meeting of the German Foundation for Aging Research (DGfA) 2-3 December 2016 in Ulm

It is our greatest pleasure to announce to you the Annual meeting of German Association for Aging Research (DGfA) 2016. The DGfA meeting has developed into one of the most important meetings on basic research on aging in recent years. The meeting is open to all scientists interested in aging research.

Your active participation is essential to move German aging research forward! The meeting offers a unique platform for open discussions and collaboration. Space is limited to 100 participants to ensure an optimal atmosphere to present new data and opened discussion.

Call for abstract

The abstract submission deadline is October 10th, 2015. You will be informed whether your abstract was selected for a poster or oral presentation. Please download a registration AND an abstract form from the DGfA homepage.
The best poster and talk will be awarded with the Fritz Boege Prize. (500Euro each)

Travel & Accommodation

Please make your own hotel and travel arrangements. Jena has two train stations, "Jena Paradise" and "Jena West." The closest airport is Leipzig, Berlin, and Frankfurt. Please be sure to make your booking as soon as possible.

Pauline Schumacher, Linda Partridge, Michael Ristow, Björn Schumacher, Lenhard Rudolph

The annual DGfA meeting 2014 took place at the CECAD Research Center and MPI-AGE at the University of Cologne. Prof. Linda Partridge, MPI-AGE, and Prof. Manuel Serrano, CNIO Madrid, delivered exciting keynote lectures on the current forefront of aging research. The DGfA meeting once again brought together principle investigators, postdocs, and PhD students from across Germany to exchange concepts and ideas on aging research.

The DGfA congratulates the Fritz-Boege-Prize winners of 2014:
Best short talk award: Ronny Hänold, Fritz-Lippmann-Institute
Best poster award: Olivier Baris, University of Cologne
The awards come with the prize money of 500 Euros each that is generously donated by the DGfA member Prof. Fritz Boege, University Clinic Düsseldorf

Next years DGfA meeting will by hosted by the DGfA Past-President Prof. Lenhard Rudolph in Jena 4th and 5th December 2015
